I draw your attention to the event below, which will be worth visiting.

Hello all Tigers.

from your Association President.

For those of you that are in UK my commiserations on the weather – I find the post Christmas period quite miserable with aircraft stuck on the ground and consequently no flying! However, it is time for planning so before you get stuck into the next trips to sunnier climes do not forget to put in your diaries the reunion weekend starting on the 5th March with the dinner on the 6th. This year sees the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, of which 74 played such an important role, and there will be many events and airshows celebrating this important milestone. Hopefully, I will be able to get our Mk XVI Spitfire to some of these events – it is in the camouflage scheme that 74 had on their Mk XVI aircraft post D – Day although it does not carry the authentic 4D-V code letters (the initials were not my idea!). Anyway, you will notice that our crest is carried on the nose of the Spitfire (see picture) so there is at least one aircraft flying in our colours.

My best wishes to you all in 2010 and look forward to sharing a story and the odd pint at the coming Reunion.

HEALTH WARNING--Any men recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, and contemplating HIFU (High Frequency Ultrasound) as a treatment option, MUST read Chapter 7 of my Prostate section under Medical Matters. It may just save you from the catastrophic effect it has had upon my life, and the most horrendous proposed surgery I will have to undertake over the next 18 months, to try and put me right again.
